Why will M.E.E work? The idea is simple. Instead of having a single investor put down a hefty sum of money forthe completion of a film, rather have many people putting in small amounts to make it work. The concept is based on paradigm-smashing micro-loan banks in India and has been tested in locally with the film “Twist” by Tim Greene. Everyone has a great idea for a movie that has never made its way from the writing pad to the silver screen. 9 times out of 10 this is because there is just not enough momentum behind the idea to have it realized. Roping more people into a film’s production at this stage is vital because it adds that ever elusive but critical element: momentum. By the mere fact that complete strangers have trusted you with their money means unless you are willing to face the scrutiny of the mob, you had better get that movie made. M.E.E gets movies made because it empowers everyone involved in the process from the word go!
